2000 Civic CX Hatchback.

This week I had the "Front" Oxygen Sensor, spark plugs, distributor and rotor cap changed. Now tonight (Wednesday) both my left and right turn signals started blinking rapidly when I used them. Noticed my brake, reverse and tail lights are completely out. I *think* my brake lights work when I press them, but didn't have a good way to tell tonight. I am going to assume they are out.

My brother, who lives elsewhere, thinks it could be the ground wire. He told me to start there first, tracing the wires. Maybe something is loose. Next he said to check fuses. Then onto the bulbs. At this time, it's too dark for me to investigate.

I do not normally work on my car, but I am not interested in giving a shop a few more hundred dollars for something I can possibly sort out myself. This cannot be that hard.

Headlights and front blinkers work. License plate light and I believe the "upper" brake light works too. Just all of sudden turn signals going bananas.

If your brake lights still work, there's still a chance that the turn signal doesn't. Your rear turn signal bulbs are dual filament bulbs.

Start with the easy before tracing wires: pull the bulbs and see if one or both filament(s) are out.

when they "hyper flash" its typically because one the bulbs is bad. otherwise the relay could have gone bad or its a wiring issue. check your bulbs first.
