'98 civic dx speedometer problem
I was having issues with my speedometer jumping for a while & then it would just stop. Sometimes it would show me going 90 mph even though i was only going 60 or so. Eventually the needle flipped all the way around to the other side of zero where there is the little peg there to stop it going any futher.
It would work here and there, and when it wasn't working at all the odometer would not work either. I replaced the speed sensor and the odometer is working, however the speedometer is stuck around on the wrong side. I have pulled everything out of the dash, and tried to manually move the needle but it will not work. It tries to work from the wrong side though. Any suggestions?

Just guessing here, if you can't make the needle go back to where it started and work, it sounds like you will need a new speedometer.
Unless you can send it to a speedo shop for repair.
