Question about radiator-condenser fan motors.

Should both the radiator fan and condenser fan be running all the time? Or do they kick in at specific times. I haven't seen my condenser fan (that's the one on the left side when facing the car from the front) kick-in in a while, and my AC doesn't feel cool on idle and slow driving, but only when I'm on highway speeds, so I'm thinking my fan is bad. Thanks.

I'm not seeing it yet.....
Is this on the Mercedes, the Dodge truck, or some sort of Civic?
Come on, be real specific.
Unless you think all cars must be the same since they all have 4 wheels.

I think that 3 sec filter of yours needs to be replaced ezone...

even if it is on a tyrannosaurus rex, try turning the a/c on and then using a volt meter see if you are getting 12 volts to the fan. There should be a plug that is fairly easy to access....if not getting voltage, check your fuses...

Re: Question about radiator-condenser fan motors.

That WAS filtered.

Fans aren't supposed to run all the time. They run with coolant temperature, and they run with AC on, may depend on pressures to kick fans on too.... Depending on the car and the conditions, it may run only one fan or the other.

Easy enough to test a fan motor, wire it directly to the battery and see if it runs. See if fuses are blown. Get a wiring diagram and map it out.
