Unhappy misfiring on all 4 cylinders

i went to advanced auto parts, and they did a mini test on my 99 hodna civic LX, and said ALL 4 cylinders were misfiring, i hoped it would be something small (like spark plugs), i already changed them except 1 (extender broke in half....). but the store said it might be the distributor (they said something bout the distributor goes out between 125-150k miles) mine has 143k (which seems decent out of what he told me) is there any other way to find out whats wrong with it? im hoping it might just be the wires or the spark plugs (even though the old ones were good, i just changed them cuz i was gonna change them anyways).

Re: misfiring on all 4 cylinders

Find MelJ and download the service manual from his sig. It will show you exactly how to check the dist. There are several things that could make it mis-fire but, if it was running fine and all of a sudden it started mis-firing then it probably is the dist.

Just be warned: for profit schools are there for one thing- profit. Get a part-time job at a shop while in school (recent experience), get a 4.0GPA, and stay drug-free and you'll get a decent job. Don't expect to make good money right out of school either. Sorry to tell ya, just want you to know what you're getting into.

we already went to the school, and the lady that was there gave us a tour of about half of the school (we needed to get home before 11) she sent us to between 2-3 buildings and she said there was between 3-4 buildings still. she gave us the run down, my girlfriend and i are getting an apartment (cheap), they are going to help us find a job, BUT i have to keep my GPA at 3.5 or better to keep the one i want, and have an attendance at between 95-98% (which wont be a problem due to me WANTING to learn, no english, no math, no history. so im happy. (thanks for the warning lol)

Re: misfiring on all 4 cylinders

Yeah, they wanted to send me to interview with every $8/hr job in town. I was like WTF, I can't live on that. Ended up finding a decent paying one myself. It took 5 months but, I found it- not them. Your results may vary. lol. Don't get me wrong, school helped my understanding of cars tremendously. It's just the for profit school kinda took the luster off the whole experience. I did like the fact there was no other subjects to study at the same time, at 35 and even having ADD it's hard to study more than one subject that intently. Anyways, good luck and keep us posted.

BTW: Don't think there won't be any math. One of your auxiliary classes will be a basic math class (up to and including basic algebra). You'll probably have at least a basic math, customer service, and career orientation class as auxiliary (mini) classes.
