98 civic problem trying to fix my daughters car please HELP
Ok my daughter has an 98 civic hatch with a lsv swap. (preformed by someone who thinks duct tape is used for all wireing issues) sorry.... anyway the car would not start, the fuel pump would not kick on and it was getting no spark, to make a long story short i had to hard wire the fuel pump direct ( i could not get it to work any other way) with the pump running it still would not start, so i checked for spark and had none, i changed the main relay behind the glove box (i removed the one from my 2000 si) still no spark. so i changed the ecu. do to the fact the car had an extra. that worked car ran good for one day then it did it again. i was told to change the pgmfi which i was told is located behind the kick plate area on the drivers side? not sure i can find it i looked but not sure if it is the correct thing. anyone have any ideas? Please save me and this car from an untimely death.....

any CEL codes? a bad crank sensor can cause no spark issues, a PGMfi wont fix a no spark issue. hard to say without any code numbers or engine data
