Unhappy Help With Choking/Chugging Problem

Civic Ek 2000

I have major problems with this car only had it 1 yr and it was bought secondhand
Basically the car seems to be choking it's self and it's like a chugging wen driving
I initially thought it could have been a break in the exhaust and further investigation did reveal a break between the cat and down pipe ie the bracket had broken off with this fixed it continues with this problem
The engine management light is still on and I had the codes red which came back it was misfiring in all 4 cylinders so all spark plugs were replaced and it ran a bit better for a day or so then returned to this carry on
Has anyone any ideas ??

Re: Help With Choking/Chugging Problem

How up to snuff is it on maintenance??

I would change the air filter if it looks really bad, then do the fuel filter, plug wires, and cap and rotor if you doubt the age of them.. for piece of mind I would do all 4..

I suspect it to be a lack of fuel or air into the engine..

The air filter was changed
So you think if I do the rest this cld maybe make a difference
Cld it be doing this if the cylinder head was away only the car seems to climb to half way on the temp gauge quickly aswell but it doesn't go sky high or anything :/
