Coolant Levels

Ok so my car started heating up on a recent 100 miles each way trip. Next day it was fine. Today started up again so decided to check levels. over flow tank was almost empty. So picked up some coolant. Now I am used to cars that just has a clear coolant tank ( easy to fill and know how much to fill) So with the civic having a over flow tank and radiator. How do I know how full to fill each? May sound crazy but any help would be great.

Re: Coolant Levels

Ok, figured that out. Now I have found out my electric cooling fan behind the radiator is not working. driver said fan turns on when a/c is on. However radiator fan does not turn on with out with out a/c being on. thinking about starting with relay and going from there... any advice on what to check for first and any order?
