a couple suspension questions...2000 civic

1. how do I torque down the upper strut nuts to agx struts? I have to use an open ended socket with pliers to hold the tip since there's a flat area on top of the rod to grip. If I don't hold the tip down when I go to tighten it'll just spin the rod with the nut and nothing will tighten up.

2. I'm trying to use kyb rubber upper strut mounts instead of the used oem mounts. Because these new rubber mounts are cone shaped, they stick out and I can't figure out how to compress them to get the center nut mounted. Would it hurt to mount them upside down so the pointy end faces each other instead of facing opposite? any help?

3. I have a squeaky noise coming from the upper area in the rear struts. It is coming from the struts and nothing else. Could it be that the center nut is too tight? What would cause this noise? Nothing else creaks since I replaced nearly every suspension part in my car.

thanks
