Tweeter Pods

I have a new part installed in my Civic VTi.

Its called a Tweeter Pod located at the Side Mirror Assembly.

I have an MB Quart Seperates, previously the tweeters were placed on top of my cars's dash board. With the availability of tweeter pods I have relocated both wiring and tweeters to the side mirror assy. Its just a pod, more of like a shell. My aftermarket tweeters is inside the pods. As long as the tweeter is within 1.5" x 1.5" in diameter it will fit.

Now my tweeters are within ear level and sound is more proficient.

Btw, the Tweeter Parts is already available here in the Philippines and Taiwan. Im not so sure if its available there in US and other parts of the world.

To give you an idea what im talking about here are pictures:

He said its already available in the Philippines and Taiwan. I thought that those countries only got sedan versions from all the meet pics I saw from the person who posted it (Doggystylez?). Im not sure who.

Are those tweeter pods for the sedan??? Please tell me they are!!! And how can I purchase them if I'm in the US?

I checked on getting the EX pods for my DX, but the manual mirror stick would get in the way. The parts n00b said that it couldn't be shortened to fit because it's one piece, but I disagree. A hacksaw could fix that!
I didn't wanna hax0r the car, so I just did some operating on the door panels and mounted a pair of flush-mount Pioneers there. It actually turned out very professional-looking, if I do say so myself.

Yes LiKEaFeRiO, my car is a sedan 4 door. And the pods is designed for the sedan.

Actually the tweerer pods comes with its own low quality tweeters which you can remove and modify to place your existing aftermarket tweeter. It can be DIY too. In here it cost 3,800 Philippine Pesos or USD 74.00 shipping not included if you buy it directly from any Hnda Authorized parts and accessory dealer, although in the blackmarket it cost a lot cheaper, around USD 48.68 only.

No dude. Not stolen, but after market. Black Market is a term used here when a merchandise is sold other than the authorized dealer. Black Markets usually have cheaper price.

I am very confused?

I am getting some mb quart components and have been trying to decide where to mount the tweets.

Are you saying that the tweets won't fit into the stock pod that is there and you have to buy different ones. I was thinking that I could just cut out holes in the existing plastice triagles, no?

The MB Quart tweeter (Mobil 218.03 CX Seperates) shall easily fit into the tweeter pods. I have said previously, the tweeter pods comes with its own OEM tweeter. Its weak and useless so dish it off. You just have to make plenty of modifications like cutting some internal platic componentsof the pods and your MB Quart tweets will exactly fit. Mine fit. You just cannot cut holes into the plastic triangle of your side mirrors, there is a component there which holds the harness connecting to the controls. The tweeter should be placed slanting and avoiding the harness.

Bluetroll, im not so sure where you can get an aftermarket Tweeter Pods there in the US. They say that in Taiwan, this Pods are cheap since it was made there. If you knew anyone from Taiwan maybe they can get it for you. Or you can email any Taiwanese fabricator of this Pods and ask them to ship it for you.

I haven't been able to get them from a Honda dealer here in the states.
The tweeter pods from the coupe don't fit, and even Majestic Honda
doesn't list a tweeter pod for the sedan (that I could find, anyway).
I think I need to buy some from Revmaster !!! Or some manufacturer
outside the US perhaps???

You can be any variation of those tweeter pods from Honda, with tweeter, without, and even without the manual mirror thing sticking through.

Jeez, what a long post for something that should be simple, like tweeter
pods ! But here's the problem : I know that all types of tweeter pods
are available for the Civic, especially before 2001. But for the 2001
(and up) body style, the only pods that I have found (at least in the
states) are for the two-door coupe ... and these don't fit the sedans.
Now I don't care if the pods actually have tweeters in them, I just
want plastic pods that replace the rear-view mirror garnish that will
hold a tweeter. But they must fit a 2001 four-door sedan. Can anyone
locate a Honda part number for me? Or must we look to the aftermarket,
or "blackmarket", as suggested earlier in this thread?
I'd be happy to buy from anyone with access to these sedan pods, even
outside the US. Help !!!!!!! Thanks for your comments guys, I appreciate
all the info ....
