Rep Power: 296 Did you install it using a spacer?
If not, then I suggest you buy a 1/2" or 1" spacer.
They are less than $20 a pair at your local shop or if you have the tool, make one.

Trim off some of the plastic where the speaker grill is.
Look and you'll know what I'm talking about.
That should do the trick.

Rep Power: 0 Ok, I have some infinity references (componenents) up front and all I did was take some 3/4 mdf and cut out my own spacer. It was really easy and did the job. Doesn't look to great, but I you could paint it or do whatever you needed though

Rep Power: 238 I made a 1/2" spacer and that's what worked for me but I had the same issue with window obstruction as you did. It's real close so you don't need to add much space. 1" is definitely overkill.

Rep Power: 0 If you haven't tried cutting some of the extra plastic out of the speaker cover thing then I would suggest trying that and using the biggest spacer that will fit, that worked for me, but if it doesn't really matter to you then just make sure your passengers go easy on the windows.

Rep Power: 257 I just cut the center out of the old door speakers, screwed the new ones into the old speaker frame and soldered them to the old connector. They plug in and clip into the door like the stock ones
