Rep Power: 245 Will mounting tweets far from woofer affect staging?
I am leaning towards putting the tweeters in the a-pillars, maybe even up at the top. the manual that came w/my comps said the distance between the tweets and woofer should be less than 18 inches. So i am looking at a distance of 3 feet. Is it really that big of a deal? I know they'll be blaring in my face but if i turn them down relative to the rest of the system it should be cool right?

Rep Power: 0 In my non-7thgencivic, I had a pair of Infinity Kappa tweeters mounted to the metal in the windshield pillars. Never quite sounded right. I moved them to right next to the mid/woofer. ALOT better.

Rep Power: 787 The door panel is really the best for imaging. I think mine sound good in the sails, but any more and it will be too separated.

Rep Power: 271 the reason why you want to mount them so close is because sound takes time to go a-b. Keeping it as close as possible will eliminate some lag.
now if you have a deck that does time correction, lets say.. um.. alpine :P you can have it in the a pillar and still sounding great

Rep Power: 787 Also you get a better image by sitting further away from the front so sound has more time to propagate. My time correction actually doesn't sound as good when it's turned on.
