6x9 in a 6.5 mount

Anyone try putting a 6.9 in the rear deck where the 6.5 speakers are? I got some great 6.9 and want to use them, but no where to put em. Thought about mounting them higher than the metal part of the deck, but they will not clear, these suckers are thick. The magnet on them is 6.5 and will bearly fit through the clearance. So if someone has custom made their rear deck, let me know!!!! I can't find room to mount them under the deck either, not enough width. The middle seat belt gets in the way, still not enough room to mount if I remove it. So really im asking if anyone has found a way to mount them or a alt place to put 6x9, to let you know what im working with they are Audiobahn URL=http://www.audiobahninc.com/products/fullrange/an_series_fullrange.html]ABF39T[/URL]
If you have any ideas, let me know!!!!
or if you know of any speakers that i can send apx 100watts rms (each speaker), The audiobahn are 215rms (total pair).

THanks!
-Jon

These Speakers are going to be 2 deep for ur rear deck, u will have to Put gas struts in ur trunk if u want to use these speakers. Also u are going to need to drill out the hole to fit the speaks in. If u dont want to do it take it to a local shop and they should hook yah up but it is going to cost yah. Plus some places wont do it b/c the mounting depth is so small in our trunks.....so get gas struts, adn get rid of the trunk bars. Then u can install those speakers

6x9s are great for bass response. They aren't so bad, don't worry. But you will have to do something about the depth of the deck. Gas struts is the only way I think. Do a search for Gas Struts because it has been posted a few times before, so there should be instructions out there somewhere.

So gas struts can replace the trunk supports? I'm not sure what the gas struts really do. If they reinforce the car in another area, doesn't that still leave the trunk 'weak'. In doing something like that I think it may void part of my warrenty with honda and insurance...
