So yea, the title is pretty self explanatory, I jsut need to know if anyone has ever replaced the power wire for the alt, and/or if someone could post instructions on how/where to do it??
Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

What you are talking about as it pertains to car audio is upgrading the "Big Three" or the "Magic Three" as they are sometimes called.

The Big 3 wires to upgrade are:

1. the negative battery wire to ground
2. the engine block to ground
3. the battery to alternator - DO NOT exchange wires on this one, just add an additional one. You can even fuse it for added protection but it is not necessary.

I would use at least 4-gauge on all of them.
