fatmat...did it do any good?

with everyone saying how good fatmat was, i bought 100sq. ft. and installed about half of it in the trunk (2 layers) and turned up my stero and it sounded exaclty the same! i thought it was supposed to increase your dB level!? it did however make the trunk rattle less by up to 90% you can only hear it when the stero is way up beyond the volume i listen to, so i am happy about that. i'll be installing the rest in the doors tomorrow, maybe 3 layers if theres enough, think that will help the stero sound louder? what exactly makes it help the stero sound louder, by reducing rattles and road noise?

it doesnt actually go up in volume in all applications. it mainly goes up in volume when youre dealing with a serious volume where your panels in your car are flexing from teh sound pressure.

I noticed a difference in SQ with the doors and not really the trunk...but I do think it helped my trunk be less noisy.

I fatmatted my whole trunk one time and the trunk lid twice and I hear a difference. **** still rattles in my trunk, but my JL 12w3 hits hard.
