I just got an amp from a friend, it's a RIO MOBILE SOUND Concert 5xs. It's a 4 channel + subwoofer (so i guess 5 channels) amp. It's long and silver and EXTREMELY heavy. I CANNOT find any info on this amp on the web such as its specs/wattage etc. I seen a tiny tidbit saying its a company out of Australia that specializes in home audio, but ventured into mobile audio. Is this a quality product? Is it the same rio that makes mp3 players? THANKS!

From working with a car audio manufacturor for while I can tell you that you probably won't find much info on that amp. From the circuit board design it looks to be made in china. And if the cap fell off the board its probably not a higher end amplifier.
Small foreign companies will produce amplifiers with names that reflect on something in the US to try and drive up sales. At the time the amp was made I am assuming that the Rio Mp3 player was big here and they even used the same logo the try and drive more sales. Most of the times the companies don't last long tho.
Its funny because even the manufacturors that send literature try to blend the US culture into them. This one company had a screenshot from "Saving Private Ryan" behind their products and another from "Pretty Woman"
But give the amp a try and see if you like it.
