Wiring Behind Kick Panel
No they aren't found there. You'll have to pull the door panels apart.. I don't remember what color the wires were but I do remember that there were two blue ones on the driver's side.. but the same color blue wires for the 6 1/2" were the same color for the wires on the tweeter in the sail panels.. So good luck

why cant the car companies be a little more accomodating, and just use wires that are standards or lable them... honestly, would it be THAT difficult to make things 10x easier for us???? i think i'd pay the extra $5 so that they could print little lables on the wires.... jerks
that would make things ALOT more expensive, in teh long run...
it really costs $5 to label the literally thousands of wires that snake in and around yrou car?
seriously, check out the main bundle through the firewall sometimes. its absolutely insane.
wire colors is plenty, way plenty, for identification.

Hey, back to the kick panel thing... I'm putting in my amp and I'd like to splice into the speaker wires behind the kick panels before they go to the doors (there's not a lot of room to squeeze another wire through there). Anyway, there's two harnesses there, and some of the wires are the same colors. One harness is blue, the other is white (at least on the driver side). Does anyone know which one has the speaker wires?

the wires for the speakers ARE located behind the kick panels, thats where i connected my speakers when i installed q forms. on both the drivers and the passengers side, behind the kick panel, slightly up into the dash (you're gonna have to crawl under to get a good view), there are harnesses, since the wires for the speakers, power windows, mirrors and such all have to go into the door, they are all connected into the same harness. there will be several harnesses, to find the one that has the speaker wire, you need to know the colors of the wire, since i dont remember, you will have to take off the door panel to see what color the speaker wire is, then look at the harnesses and find the colors that match. once you found them, you can splice into them, and connect some addition wire to connect to an amp.
i'm gonna be taking pics of my car tomorrow, if you can't find the harness, tell me, i'll take a pic of it for you.

thanks slick, I'd appreciate it. I've got the wire colors under control (grn/blk - lt green on the left and grn/yel - gry/red on the right), but on the driver's side both harnesses have green wires going into them. Pics would help a lot.

as promised, here is a pic, i took a few, but they didn't come out too good:

can see those pink connectors and blue wires, those are the wires going to my speakers, so it looks like the speaker wires are connected into the white harness, not the grey ones. hope that helps.
btw, thats the drivers side.
