need help setting crossover

i read my amps manual today and it said for driving a pair of subwoofers (which i am), set the amp on "low pass" and it will filter out high frequencies and only send low notes. so i did but then all i heard was treble coming from my speakers and i couldnt even hear my subs. do i need to adjust the crossover freq.? i only want the low notes so the subs hit harder, before i had the amp set on "fullpass" which lets in high and low freq. and i dont like having high note bass (if that make any sense). so how should i set up my amp?

mohawkboom is an unknown quantity at this point
Okay maybe your amp company reverse the part..try setting it to high pass and see what happens.. you shouldnt get any vocals or other sound from your sub.. also turn the frew **** to where it reads about 60-80hz or so.. that's a good start.. turn the **** slowly in either direction untill it sounds good to you.
