Question Pioneer DEH-p740mp from electronic4me.com...

i've been searching around 7thgencivic.com/the net (excluding ebay) and this is the lowest i could find for this deck. so far i've found that this is a decent deck, and the only problem mentioned is the slow initial loading of mp3's. For $237 (price plus shipping) i can deal with that. i'm new to car audio and i figure this is a nice deck to get my foot in the door. basically my questions/concerns are as follows:

1.) Is this a reputable website?

2.) The sales-folk at a local car shop said that buying products off the net is a no-no...is that true? (I have an Alpine cda-7894 on layaway for $400 and i think they just want to keep my business)

note: i listen to all genres of music. i plan on adding sub(s)/amp/components. im just a struggling college kid who's trying to liven up his driving experience

-thanx-

The problem with buying them online is that you get no warrantee. If you are doing the install I would just gett it online because you will save money. Otherwise I would buy it from the store and have them innstall it.

SOME online stores have warranties, SOME online stores are reputable. I myself haven't really ever been to that online store. usually, the more reputable ones are onlinecarstereo.com, thezeb.com, ikesound.com, woofersetc.com, and a few others

try ebay man. i've bought sooo many things from ebay. including headunits, speakers, home stereos, computer stuff, car parts. i've yet to have a bad experience. chances are, you'll probably get everything you're looking for waaay cheap. and now i sound like an advertisement for ebay.
