Question JL Audio or Kicker Setup

First let me say ive done my homework and researched both brands. Im looking to start building my system soon but am torn on what subs to use. Looking at either the W7 or L7 lines. Ive used both JL and Kicker in the past and liked both but they were always lower end subwoofers. Im kinda looking more alongs the lines of having it boom but I want to maintain somewhat of SQ. The subs will have custom enclosers if that makes a whole world of difference. Im lookin for opinions and why I should go with either brand or if you have a suggestion for an equally good sub, please post why you like either brand. Thanx for all the help.

if you are looking for boom, then id go with the kickers all the way. its less expensive (ie you cna drop more money on the install) and its a woofer that you can be comfortable beating on with no problems.

W7 will lay an L7 to waste in every category, period (including price). however, people tend to treat the w7 with a little more respect, are kinder to it, play it nicer, baby it and such.

and thats why id go with the L7 if i were you. L7 will have all teh sq you are looking for, i guarantee, and will get louder off lower amounts of power than the w7 will.

Cool thanks for the advice, your rite about price a shop here is willing to do 3 L7 12's for the price of 1 W7 12 if they get to do the install. I didnt expect anyone to say the L7 is what I should go for everyone Ive talked to so far has said JL all the way. And either sub im not goin to be kind to, Im notorious for destroying subs.

no, i agree that the w7 is a "better" subwoofer, i just think for your personal applications, you wont use the features the w7 has that make it outperform the L7. so why pay the price for a 12w7? itll spank one L7, but three? probably not....
