Hey I need a little advise. I'm rebuilding a system in my wifes rodeo. It was stolen. I have the amp coming it's 600 watts at 4 ohm. Now I need a subs or sub. I've been thinking about these
These will all be sealed.
One ED e12a
Two ED e12k
Two JL 12w3v2
I personally like JL but I'm heard good things about ED. Anyone heard or used these and can compare. I'm looking at the $300-$350 range. It's been awhile since I've been here but this is a great forum. Check out my ride. Can't wait for my system to be complete.

those a's should be able to whup the w3's.

A's were designed to compete with the w7. and of course they got spanked, but they are a very high quality woofer, the new A's are supposed to beat out the IDmax even.

Yea I'm sure 2 a's would beat 2 w3's but only 1 a to 2 w3's. I'm thinking it would be to close to tell difference. What do you think? I'm sure 1 w7 would be alot better than the w3's. That is more than I want to spend. Only around $300 or so.

id bet the 1a versus 2w3's would sound a hell of alot better, couldnt tell you abotu volume tho. apparent loudless really goes down as transparancy goes up.... ("how loud you think it sounds" versus "the ratio of speaker coloration versus actual instrument sound")

as a kill all ill say this:

if you are looking for boom, go with the JL's

if you are looking for the highest quality, go with the A.

if you are looking for the most impressive setup (it was that loud with ONE 12??) go with the A

If you are looking for a standard setup that everyone knows, understands, and gives yrou props for, no explanations neccesary, go with the w3's.
