Question JL XR Mids Defective?

OK everyone, I need your knowledge in order to make sure that my JL Audio XR 650 mids are defective. I am going to send them back to the person I bought them from online and if they are proven to be defective, then they will send me a new pair. First off, I am using a Hifonics ZX6000 150wx2 @ 2Ohms, which is the maximum power for my speakers. Next, my speakers blew when I had my volume loud, but not ear blowing loud, but they sounded fine, no reason for them to blow. When I had been driving for about 5 minutes, they just started to sound messy and then gave out. My level/gain is set a little bit more than half-way on the amp. After I washed my car that day, there was water in my door panel, one of the magnet covers had some water in it, but thats it. The web didn't get wet or anything like that. The other speaker that I took out had water in the door, but the speaker itself was bone dry. On my HU, I barely have them even playing bass, the HPF on my alpine is set to 160Hz. They will no longer respond to any eletrical current. Does this sound like I got two defective speakers? I personally think that is what happened, but id like you alls opinions on the matter just to back up my thereoy.

PS. Throughout my like, I have had alot of stuff go defective on me, God knows how many parts of my computer that I built, and my HU faceplate. Just thought id let you all know.

the most you can do is try sending them back, and the worst that can happen is they say, nope wernt defective

ok, first of all, try and make yourself look like a victim. Only tell them what THEY ask. don't tell them about the water unless THEY ask. Dont tell them about all the little things that could have made it your fault unless THEY ask.

Yea thats what I figured. I won't tell them anything that will hint to being my fault.
