Anywayz, the JL e-series is prolly comparable to Phoenix Gold's new Octane/R series amps in price and performance (except for the 1500 and 3000, I think, watt RMS mono amps).
These amps are pretty cool looking, and are geared towards "tuners"...so if you are looking for a low cost amp from a reputable company you may want to check out these. Just keep in mind that the Gold are only 2 ohm stable and the JLs are prolly 1.5 ohms stable for the mono amps.

only the "slash" series amps from JL are 1.5ohm stable ( the mono's at least ), the new e Series are 2 and 4 ohm stable from what i read. they have a mono seems good enough to run a 10W3 or 12W3, a 2 channel and 4 channel that seem good enough for a decent set of speakers, and a 6 channel, that can be bridged to run 150watts x 3, seems good for three 12W0's.
even though they are budget amps from JL, i bet they make good power, and from what i heard, they will start cheap, $200 retail or so, not bad IMO.

I wouldn't waste my money on JL Audio anymore there subs fall apart easily and are way over priced. They may sound nice but everyone I know who has owned JL Audio has had to replace them or perform surgery on them. For a less price you can get a better sub. As for there Amps I haven't really heard that much about them but for the price I would rather buy JBL, Harrison Labs, or Cadence.

I have a JL sub, I have never replaced it or done any surgery to it. I agree, those Adire Audio subs are nice, but disregarding all JL subs like that, like SQCivic said, is a little ignorant.

everybody who had those subs probably didnt have the correct boxes or had bad tuning on the amps that were pushing the subs.....ie some fockfard rosgate 400000 watt amp bridged to .25 ohm and blew the hell out of the subs....by the way i have the 10w7 and it rocks harder than when i had 3 10w6 both on a jl 500/1
Well the boxes I had were built to specs and same with my buddies. However I was running the rear channels of a PG ZX450 to them, so they were getting powered nicely. I only had two 10W6's subs hooked up so running it .25Ohm is impossible. Anyway its just may opinion on JL Audio.
