Hey,

I am really new to cars, car audio, and civics in general.. so this may be a real dumb question, but anyways:

Is there any way to hook up an amp & sub to the stock '02 Civic EX cd player?


I just want some extra bass, nothing to try and win competitions with or anything.. and I don't really want to get a new deck because it'll just invite *******s to break in and steal it (or the car..)

yeah you can connect an amp to the stock, but it will sound like ****
and prolly clip the hell outta the sub..... My headunit has a removable
face plate (most do) which I take off when I park in the ghetto. I dunno
how to connect but if you search this has been covered quite a few times.

u can do it, but wont sound good, what u should do is get a aftermarket deck, and make an oem looking cover which u put over your deck when u leave the car, that way people will think u have an oem system, its been done on the site before. and anyways u r in saskatoon guy, hardly anyone lives there why u worried about thiefs [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]
