2-Ch Amp w/ JL XR spkrs.....
Ok, I need some serious responses on this matter. I was considering a 4-ch amplifier to power my XR components and maybe later rear 6.9s, but I it is too expensive for a high output amp that will power both front and rear. So now I am thinking of getting a powerful 2-ch amp since they are cheaper and just run my XR's off those and if I eventually get rear 6x9s then I will just run those off the deck and fade alot of the music to the front. Now as for the type, if i bought a Kenwood KAC-929 to power my component set, would that sound pretty nice? I would really appreciate you alls help. Thanks!
I would consider something nicer. Try searching, this almost exact question has been asked revently, i went through it in detail in that thread.
bottom line, the speaker will pick up minute colorations in teh sound that amp will produce.
No, its nto a bad amp at all, but unlike lower end speakers, you WILL hear the difference between a kenwood and something nicer with those speakers.

What would you all recommend for a good amp that is around the same price as the kenwood, about $210. Maybe something that is a little more expensive, but can be found on ebay for just as much would be fine.
