sub enclosure question?

ok if i build that sub enclosure that we have in the diy section, will that affect the sound of my subs cause right now they hit pretty hard bass, but i wanna customizeit a little and just wanted to know if that position the subs r gonna be if thats gonna affect the sound in anyway?plz help thx

What type of sub do you have? I don't think you should build your sub box exactly to spec on the DIY section because the internal volume really makes a difference in how your subwoofer sounds in the end. Depending on the size and type, your sub will sound better in a box specifically designed for it. I designed mine after the specs recommended on the JL Audio site and my W3 sounds pretty nice. Also, it matters if you want to go ported or closed. Ported go louder, but a closed box will sound a little better, from what I hear.

i got 2 12' vccs pro pioneers, u think it will affect or not?

those subs want 1 cu ft sealed each, so 2 total feet. if the diy box is too small, your subs won't get as low. also they will be firing up, instead of however you have them running now, which will make it sound differnet in cabin and outside your car.
