Amp Wiring...Not your typical question

I going to be installing and new head unit and therefore i will be able to run my interior speakers off the the amp as well as the subs....My question is how to wire the front door speakers back to the amp. Do you just splice the existing speaker wire and run it back or do you have to run new wires. hooking up the rear speaker will be no problem because the amp is screwed to the back seat....Thanks for your help...

You are running all the speakers off of an amp? If so, the easy way to wire the fronts is to loop the factory wires by connecting the amp to the factory rear speaker wires, then connecting the front wires to the rear wires behind the radio. then just connect the rear speakers to the amp. or you can run new wires, but that takes more time.

for the front speakers i just use the stock wires and then ran all the wires down the middle of the console, i just crimp the wires on the wire harness, it pretty easy

If your head unit has rca outputs for your front speakers as well, just run the rcas to the amp, then you'll have to run the speaker wires back up.. maybe up into the wiring harness behind the headunit? Seems kind of like a PITA but I dont know..

easiest way is to tap the speakerwires at the kickpanel and not hook up the speaker wires on the wire harness of your new unit.

its not too bad to get new wire through the factory grommet, anyways, if i can get a changer cable through there, you can surely get a 16 guage speaker wire through

but for sure, you gotta run yoru own wires. spool of 50 feet is way mor ethan you need, definitely

Well the correct way to do it is run new wires but for a quick install just do what bzrollin said that works pretty good but I would really recomend running new wires
