Idea........................................

I have an EX with keyless entry... but wanted some added security. Do any of you know if theres some sort of shock sensor you can buy at home depot or anything or radio shack, and splice it into your HORN wiring harness? I just want the car to HONK if shocked.. and turn off eventually (with a timer) Lemme know.

Viper alarms go off if car is shaken, but they also stop whining after about 30 seconds. Good for those bad as$ bikers or hard thumpin' cars riding around.

you could use a mecury sensor like the ones that are in thermostats as your shock sensor and hook it to a relay to close the horn circuit when it gets hit. you could also wire a switch between the battery and the sensor so it can only be armed when you want it to

battery------switch-------sensor----relay-----horn

you absolutely CAN get a shock sensore from ebay for less than $20 and hook it up to your horn. it would also mean that everything your car gets remotely bumped, the horn honks.

it would work, but it wont be a very pleasant elcheapo alarm.

my vote would be to buy jsut the blinking LED, but most DEFINITELY you could hook a shock sensor and set off the horn everytime a golfball hits yoru door
