1AWG + distributer OR 2x 4AWG
two possible wiring solutions for my amp
BATT---FUSE---1AWG---DISTRIB----4AWG----AMP
. ----4AWG----AMP
BATT---FUSE---4AWG---AMP
. ---FUSE---4AWG---AMP
what does everyone think???
also.. how big of a difference in ability to move electrons does expensive pheonix gold wire have over cheap no namers (i cant get my head around wire=wire)

I'd go with the distribution block. A lot less wire to run, making for a much cleaner install.
As for which wire is better, there really is no audible difference. The advantage of more expensive wires usually is strand count, which allows the wire to be more flexible. Compare the Phoenix Gold wire to some Home Depot in-wall stuff and you'll see what I mean.

never too late to squeeze one last little bit in, there is one advantage i cna think of of running 2 lengths of 4 guage.
weve been putting in an ultra high end stereo in my buddie's mustang for several months now. like any expensive piec of eqipment, he has been buying piece at a time. when it came time to buy his wire kit, he bought a 4 guage, with no plans of needing more. that changed completely since then.
what does he do now? spend $60 on a new wire kit online for 0/1? or should he just spend another $36 and get a second 4 guage wirekit?
If you have nothing done yet, i cant think of any reason you shouldnt go for the larger wire. but if you already have a length run..........
