learn it online.. i learned from crutchfield.com... before they were giving out free instruction manuals but i think they offer it online.. hooking up amps, speakers and hu are easy. figuring out what type of box for a sub is hard..

i learned on my own, noone here cared about audio, none of my friends liked to even build anything, i got a pair of subwoofers and an amplifier, and just started playing around, after a couple years i got into it realy seriously, joined a forum, and started experimenting with various box designs, i built a graveyard s worth of boxes, found out what worked, what didnt work, tons of listening experience, and loving every minute of my hobby.

self education is definitely my educational method of choice

no, i mean, i didnt know ANYONE in teh hobby. ive done everything on my own, till i started reading CAF. from learning theory there, combined with my previous experience with fiberglass (same as boxes, i just got a TON of it and started playing around with it till i was pro) i was able to learn how imaging works, how to make kickpanels, the stretchyness of fleece, carpet, ing, carbon, kevlar, fiberglass, cutting shaped wood, what kinds of wood to use. I learned everything i know about plexiglass from a course i took in plastics processing, the laboratory work was a ton of fun!

and thats how i learned all about custome work. i dont give a crap about mobile video, an dif i did, how hard can it be? its an extra RCA cable, power is all the same, all anything is in car is power, signal, and output; power, signal output; power, signal, and output.

how do you learn to do all teh crazy custom install stuff? get some fiberglass, some wood, some resin, some fleece, and start playnig around! it doesnt take long, it just takes some creativity, some dedication, and some ingenuity! the skill comes on its own after a short time!
