CB radios anyone????
I'm looking at getting a CB. I think I can install it in that empty space under the radio, or maybe on the floor somewhere. ..Also, I don't want a huge antenna sticking out on the trunk lid or the roof. Does anyone have an antenna that is internal - like the radio antenna in the rear window - or can't you use the car's body panels as the antenna?:confused

Yeah, in order for your CB to be effective, you need an external antenna. I ran one on my old car with a glass mount "cell style" antenna for awhile, but it really wasn't all that great. For decent CBing, you need an antenna of a certain length.

If you want a real radio in your car, go Ham Radio. Get a book, get a licence, get a radio, and now you and your buddies can talk on the radio around town. As far as antenna's go, your best bet would be a window mounted "cellular" style antenna that's tuned for 27mhz.
