Ohm Load?

What kind of ohm load will (2) Dual 6ohm Voice Coil Subs present to a Mono amp if wired for low impedance by connecting the voice coils of each driver in parallel (+ to +, - to -) and the drivers themselves in parallel (+ to +, - to - )?

also what kind of load will (2) 3ohm 6.5" Midbass Drivers present to a 2-channel amp?

Two dual 6's in parallel will give you 1.5 ohm. two 3 ohm midbass will give you the same impedence

The subs will be 1.5 ohm. The midbass driver on a 2 channel amp I assume would be hooked up in stereo, so it should a 3 ohm stereo load. Just be careful when running your subs at 1.5 ohm to your amp. Make sure your amp is 1.5 ohm mono stable. They are alot of companies out there that claim there amps to be 1 ohm stable but its 1 ohm stereo stable. Meaning they are only 2 ohm mono stable. Power supplies in amps have a tendenacy to smoke real quick when given an ohm load they cant handle. Dont worry about the midbass drivers tho. When running a 3 ohm stero load, almost every amp on the market should run those without any concerns.

If anyone ever wonders what OHM load they will get in wiring, JL Audio provides an excellent tutorial on their web site. Here's the link...
