component opinions
I was going to get some Infinity Kappa's for my car but I keep hearing that they are harsh.
Are there any other good components in the $200-300 price range that dont have harsh tweeters?
I have very sensitive high frequency hearing and harsh tweeters would kill me
hmm.... n00b post ready for flames about not using search

There was a huge thread asking the same question a few days ago. You may want to do a "search" for it and read up in the meantime.
I think the infinity speakers are awesome myself. Why were you thinking about getting them if you haven't heard them? Also, don't pay any attention to subjective opinions about speakers. If you like they way the sound, get them. It doesn't matter if they are no brand k-mart speakers. IF you like the way they sound, that's all that matters.

Well for the most part the "harsh" tweets are made of different metals and the "smooth" tweets are silk. That should help out quite a bit. Some companies even make the exact same comp sets with 2 diff tweets avail just for that readon. Any more there are sooo many good comp sets for that price. Kenwood, JL, many many more. Just go to shops and LISTEN
Personally for that price range I think the CDT CLassic Components are one of the best sounding. They have a very smooth sounding tweeter which is a 1" silk and awesome midbass responce. You can buy they thru their website for $299 and right now they are throwing in a set of rear fill to go with it. I listened to their demo vehicle at CES with these componets and rear fill and it sounded amazing.
