Thanks fonto. I know you have four 12's now. How did you wedge them in to the 40 inches of width in our trunks?

Two identical boxes. I put the first one in and pushed it into the back seat a lil, and then I angeled the second one in. Kinda hard to explain, but it was pretty simple. I have all four facing up.

Facing up ????

I thought that was the worst way to go.

I would think down would be better, shake the frame more.

I thought .......
Forward: Best SQ, Lower Volume
Backward: Good SQ, Most Volume
Up: Worst SQ, Lower Volume
Down: Good SQ, Medium Volume, Most Shake

P.S. Not that any of this matters w/ 4 12's.

yeah, that was the only way that I could get four to fit. I have way more SPL then I would Ever need, and the SQ is good except for all the rattling, but that is coming from the driver's compartment, and not the trunk.

I think i will build it in the car and cram three 15's in there off a 2000 watt amp.

FaintReality is an unknown quantity at this point
For the best SQ and SPL, fire them toward the rear.

I actually tested a variety of different ways when i had Perfects in my car. I got the best SPL when the subs were facing the rear, but only a few inches from the trunk latch...it was a noticable difference then when i had pushed the subs back against the seats. I tested it out because i had read that it worked well, and it did, but it limits trunk space.
