Rep Power: 0 Amp blowing fuses instantly
I've had the same amp powering a sub for over a year now. Turned on HU the other day and realized that the sub wasn't playing. Checked the amp and the fuse was blown. Replaced the fuse, turned on deck, POP! blown again.
I've checked for the obvious short, the sub tests ok at 2 ohms with the meter, and the amp blows even when it's not connected to the sub.
Any ideas before i hit ebay for a new amp?

Rep Power: 305 Sounds like a blown capacitor in the amp....if it is, say bye bye amp....cheaper to just buy a new one than get that fixed. Is your amp a 2 channel? If you bridged at 2 OHM's, chances are you blew out the caps inside that way....unless the amp is designed to do so, you should only bridge at 4 OHM's and above. A friend of mine did that with his kenwood amp...same exact problem.
