MTX amp owners
i jsut installed my amp and sub i have the mtx 8302 and i have a question for those with mtx
does that led light stay on the whole time? i'm pretty sure i hooked up the remote its' connected does it stay that way or is the wiring diagram of my head unit wrong?

I think my red light is always on when my radio is on. I will take a look next time I look in my trunk.
edit:If the light is off when you radio is off then you probably hook-up the wrong wire by mistake.

Rep Power: 0 The light is on meaning the amp is active when the stereo is on. When the stereo is off then the light should be off as well. If you're light is always on even though your stereo is off you must've connected the remote turn on lead to a constant power supply. Just double check your wiring and if you can't figure it out it's not a big deal.

I agree, the light should be going off. Make sure you have the baby blue wire hooked up and not the red

Rep Power: 0 you know what i doubled check all the wires and unless the clarion head unit wire diagram is wrong. then i dunno. i emailed mtx and they said to check my ground cuz. if it's not good then the remote acts like a ground instead. well whether or not that is true i don't know. but. yeah. i guess that's this is the way it is. shiet i dunno.. is it that big of a deal to leave it the way it is. will my battery die. .. that would suck if i'm goen snowboardign and my battery died.
