Blue remote wire for sub amp... what to connect to?

The blue remote wire connects to the switched 12V wire (red wire on HU wiring harness) right? The one that plugs into the amp along with the 12v/grd. Thanks

ya if your deck came like mine with a "remote" thing tagged on one of the blue wires, it goes there.

Don't connect it to the red wire!! I originally had "free" installation come with my headunit, and they hooked up the red wire. I wondered why my amp was always on, and why my amp wowould go into protection ALL of the time. At first I thought it was my amp...but then I re-did the wiring at the HU.

It is the light ble wire, and some harnesses will be labeled.

I hooked it up to the red wire labled "ACC".. there is no blue wire on the harness i bought. i figured since the red is a switched 12V wire, then it only goes on when the ignition is on

This may be getto but I hooked my 'remote wire" to the positive lead on the AC power outlet below the deck. That way, my amp turns on when I turn the ignition on and goes off when the key is out. I just wanted to hook it to something that would go on and off by using the key. It works for me, use at your own risk...

The accessory wire on the ignition is often used as well. You shouldnt' have problems with that

The problem with using the red wire is that your amps will stay on even when you shut your radio off, which kinda sucks
