I've always been an Alpine guy the features and sound quality is what keeps me with them but I guess Pioneer would be next on my list if I had to buy anything other than Alpine. I have always had Alpine and I dont think I'll be changing anytime soon.

I had a few Pioneer hu's and then I got into Kenwood....I like the Controls much better on a kenwood and I also find them more reliable.

Pioneer has come a long way from what they were before, and for the better I might add. You get features like Organic EL, EQ, HPF's, Crossovers, many more. You will get alot of these features for about the same price you would pay for a comparable Kenwood deck. Kenwood tried to compete with Pioneer's Organic EL with the 719, but there is no comparison with Pioneer's superior Organic EL display.
Also there is the consideration of the higher line decks, Pioneer's Premier, and Kenwood's Excelon. Still I think that Pionerr's Premier decks are superior to Excelon decks.

Out of Kenwood and Pioneer I would pick Kenwood. I know a lot of people with Kenwood and they never have problems. I know a few people with pioneer and they've had problems with theirs.

Other than that... I think Alpine is the best stuff you can buy.
