subs question, need help...
Just wondering which will be better, 2 10" solobaric L5 on ported custom box or one 12" slobaric L5?
Thank You...

10's will give you tighter sounding bass. If you listen to music with fast bass lines the 10's will be able to keep up with it better than a 12 can. A 12 will play lower frequencies and you'll get more "boomy" sounding bass. Both are good. Depends on what you are looking for.
Personally I have 2 JL 10W3's and would choose them over one 12.

Thanks a lot. I have one more inquiry, I just went to this store and told me that SOLOBARIC breaks easily coz it has corners. Yeah it sounds good and even puting reinforcement on the corners wouldnt quite help. Do you think its true. This guy suggested going on round subs, particularly on MB RWC 245 (last years model) on a sealed box since i want a tight bass and clarity. I would be running the MB's (or any subs you suggest )on a PPI (250x4 old model)...Please give some input regarding what oher kind of subs that i should consider as option...Many thanks again...
I've only used JL subs in my car and probably will never use anything else. All my friends have different brands but I think JL's sound the best. I would check out some JL's. Also look into some Boston Acoustic Pro Series subs. Solobarics are nice... but if you get those... try to find the ones that are still round.
I would say the most important thing is is to try to listen to as many different subs that you can. Preferrably ones that are already installed in cars. The ones in the showroom at stores are helpful but don't tell the whole story. Car subs are made for inside cars so having them in a large room doesn't give the exact same effect but will do a good job I think.
IMO... 2 JL 10's.
