Question about amp wiring

*two 5-meter (16.4-foot) purple Stealth patch cables
*17 feet of 4-gauge translucent red power cable
*3 feet of 4-gauge translucent ground cable
*6 feet of 8-gauge translucent red power cable
*6 feet of 8-gauge translucent ground cable
*38 feet of 16-gauge speaker wire
*platinum-plated fuse holder with 60-amp AGU fuse
*platinum-plated fused distribution block with 30-amp fuse
*platinum-plated ground distribution block
*2 platinum-plated ring terminals
*17 feet of 18-gauge tinned silver turn-on lead
*16 spade lugs
*16 female disconnects
*wire ties
*protective grommet

These are part of RF's 4/8 dual amp kit. Exactly how do you wire it all up? Can someone post up a picture showing how all the wires and parts go together? Im not familiar with dual amp wiring kits so I was just curious. Thanks!

its kinda hard to explain and hard to take pictures of since the wires are all hidden... but just keep in mind your running the power wire from the battery to the amp.

*two 5-meter (16.4-foot) purple Stealth patch cables
-goes from headunit to amps along the driver side of the car
-also the turn on lead goes from the headunit to the amp
*17 feet of 4-gauge translucent red power cable
-goes along passenger side of the car
-hook up the power wire from the battery to the power distribution block which should be placed in the trunk. then your distribution block is going to split your 4 guage wire into the two 8 guage wire. those two wires are going to each amp. your also going to need the inline fuse holder connected to the 4 guage(so your going to have to cut it)close to the battery.
-now that you have power to your amps, you need to connect the ground to your amps. get the 4 guage ground and connect it to any bolt on the chassis of the car. then hook the other end to the other distribution block which will split into two 8 guage ground wire. those two wires will go to each of the amps.

your amp should turn on since you have the power/ground wires and the patch cables.
then connect your speakers to your amp.

thats the basics.. should be easy. btw, where did you buy your audio equipment? i'm in van nuys(close to glendale) and i'm having trouble finding good shops

Thanks for the info.
I went to Crutchfield and they help a little bit. But if any one can open up paintshop and sketch a simple pic of what the install would look like, it would be very helpful. Thanks

BTW, I bought my equipment online on eBay.
If you are looking for a good shop, I'd recommend Traffic Jamz. They have a store in Encino and in La Crescenta. Service was really good and they answered all of my questions thoroughly without any bias.

There's also a store in La Crescenta (where the 2 ends and the 210 begins)
Well I'm not sure about an arm and an leg but they are nice and honest people so I recommended them.
They have a black Chevy truck with about 12 10" Diamond MacDaddys in the bed.

Maybe you should go downtown Los Angeles and shop around the various stores there because there are some authorized dealers plus you can bargain.

Thanks for offering to help, but I dont have everything I need yet so I wont start installation for a while

Regularjoe, so I the inline fuse is the only fuse that needs to be installed? I know the distribution has 2 fuses also.
So thats it? THANK YOU!

The main fuse protects the wire from the batterey to the distrobution block. It is larger since it feeds all amps.

From the dist block to the amps you can fuse both. This will protect each amp. If one goes the other should be fine and still work. Since these only feed one amp each they will be smaller.

even if you dont have everything, you could just run the wires. thats probably the most time consuming part anyways. like me i sold my system so i still have all the wires running to my trunk...
