Rep Power: 0 replacing trunk floor with plywood???
i remember seeing a post where someone did this...
i need to know if there is a big diference if i use 1/2" or 3/4" plywood, also, he cut the floor across after where his box was and put hinges so he could get under the floor easily, anyone remember seeing this? or has anyone done this? i just dont want the box movin around and i dont want the floor to sag after time...

Rep Power: 313 i replaced mine with MDF (man is it heavy!) i think mo used ply. much lighter, and even stiffer. I have bought 1/2 inch ply for a box I am building, and if press board is what most cars come with stock, then 1/2 will be more than enough for you. 3/4 will be stiffer and heavier, but its not like you are installing a working jackhammer on it, right? Rep Power: 294 MDF = Medium Density Fiberboard
IMO, plywood could buzz with the subs if it's the cheap variety.
