Hardwiring Radar detector

Hi there,

I am trying to hard wire my radar detector like the DIY
DIY hard wiring radar
I followed exactly the instructions but my Radar won't turn on
I tried opening the door still doesn't go on
no clue what to do. I tried using different tap-in connector. still same issue
anybody any ideas
or suggestions
my goal is to have it this way

I finally installed my CAI on my civic and hard wired my Radar detector

Looks good. I screwed my detector in because i never could get those suction cups to hold. But other than that, nice work.

did you know the lower the radar the better it pics up lasers. If you all have it that high make sure its pointing down and not straight out. Although once your hit by a laser your done. All these damn things do is let you know to pull over. Although they wotk great for radar.

glad you got it working, hope you enjoyed my DIY

vencenzobar: yeah I have mine aimed down just a bit to catch laser and so forth, but the area I live in, few of the cops have laser if any. they worry about speed a bit but they are stuck on catching DUI offenders and etc. but having it hardwired in both my civic and my gf's sentra is nice.
