Do you guys think I should go with one 15" or two 10"? I am looking for it to be a versitile sub. It needs to be musically quick but also loud as hell. Not really in to the boomy crap.

If you don't like "boomy crap" the 15 is out. Go with 2 10's but shop around. Listen to some in cars, not just on a showroom floor. Determine how much space you are willing to give up, and how much you want to spend.

Get two 10's. I just picked up 2 JL 10W3's with a MTX mono block amp and they pound my head in and at the same time they can keep up with any bass line. Due to the smaller diameter of a 10 compared to a 15, the 10's will be able to move faster.

I think that if you compared one 15 to two 10's, you'll find that the two 10's will be louder than one 15 though the bass won't be so boomy. Two 10's will move more air than one 15.

Hope this helps.

yeah 10's are well known to be very versatle subs. they are arguably the best for rock type quick beat music. a 15 is more for competition and things like that where you want the bass to go lower. a 15 due to the bigger surface area compared to one 10, will go lower. but like was mentioned before, the 10 is like a souped up civic compared to the 15 being like a semi.

Looks as though I'll be going the two 10's route. Have you guys ever heard of the Decware Deathbox? I think I'm going to give that box design a shot.

how bout this.. do a little research. Listen to a setup with 2 tens.. then listen to one with a 15.. then decide what YOU like.
