Aftermarket HUs and Factory Changer
I got the factory in-dash changer free when I bought my car. I want to get a new HU, but in Best Buy yesterday, the guy said an aftermarket HU won't work with the factory changer. He said to check with Honda about connections matching any certain brand in the event it may be possible. Apparently some OEM HUs share connections with certain brands of aftermarket ones and a particular brand may work. Can I put a new HU in my car and keep the factory changer? If so what brand works? Or do I have to keep the stock deck?

Also... What is the max power and the RMS put out by the stock deck? If anyone knows... I'm just looking for comparison.
Nevermind... I found the answer... 25 max 13 RMS

Ok, dude, you can hook up an Alpine or Kenwood CD changer to the stock deck because you can get the adapters that change the 8 pin to a 14 pin connection for the Alpine. I'm not sure about how the Kenwook connection is but it changes it to the same 14 pin connector that plugs into the back of your stock HU.

You can see it at Sound Domain
The thing is they don't make a reverse adapter.

That's the same thing Crutchfield just told me... So I guess I'm kinda stuck with the stock deck, or I'll lose the changer in the dash. Kinda sucks, I like being able to switch CDs around while I'm driving by the push of a button, and don't really want to move it to the trunk... I'll live with it.

Hey man, if you want to you can get a small CD changer and mount it under your seat. That way you can have an extra cartridge in the glove box and swap them out. They are pretty small now. I"m getting the Alpine CHM-S630 and it only measures 10x2.5x6 (LxHxD) It's only like $170. I'm sure you can find one that will work with whatever brand of HU you will be using. I'm buyig that one to use the above mentioned adapter to connect it to my stock HU.
Good Luck, man!
