can a mono 1 channel amp with 500 watts rms bump 2 subs? well i don't care if it bumps i just want to know if it can be wired to 2 subs and not only just one

Yeah, you can wire 2 subs to that amp. What kind of subs do you have, DVC's, if so 2 ohm, 4 ohm, 6 ohm. Check jlaudio.com for technical info on how to wire the subs, make sure your resistance is at a minimum of 2 ohms.

as opposed to a mono 8 channel amp [IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG] all depends on the type of subs, what the possible lowest ohm load is on the amp.. It's definetly possible but you have to get the right subs.
