Setting cut-off Frequency

I was curious what the appropriate setting was for my Low Pass cut-off frequency? I am currently running 2 10" infinity perfects of off a Sony XM-1600GSD (I'm waiting for all of the Sony cracks), and the amp has an adjustable setting between 50-300Hz. My box is tuned to around 40Hz (According to Infinity's specifications for a 1 cubic foot ported box area for each sub), and the amps bass boost is at 40 Hz as well. I was just wondering if it affects my bass performance if the cut-off is set to high (where a lil' bit of deep voice is heard)? Or would it make my bass sound better/sound deeper if I made the cut-off point at a lower frequency? I would like to set it at where my Bass would sound loud and good.

Also, the amp comes with this goofy chart that shows how the amp cuts off at 50, 150, and 300Hz. At 150Hz, the chart says the amp starts to cut off at around 100HZ at 0 Decibels and reaches 150Hz at -30 Db...then for 300Hz it says that the cut-off is at around 110Hz at -0 Dbs and that it reahes 300Hz at -30Dbs?? Does this make sense? Does it just mean that 150Hz has a steeper cut-off then setting it 300Hz?

Thanks for your help!

JJF is an unknown quantity at this point
With 2 10's I wouldn't set my crossover any higher than 80hz. If you have decent inside speakers they should be able to pick up music down to 80hz. And for most amps the slope is steeper at lower frequencies.

Thanks, I'll give it a try at around 80hz. I just wish my amp actually wrote numbers between 50 and 300 so I would know what the setting is at.
