Why Not Go Smaller????????

Many peeps have problems with putting 6.5 coaxials or separates to the front door of the civic.....because the hole too small....need to get a spacer..... Here is my question....why not just get 5.25 coaxials or separates to make the install easier? I have installed a 6.5 midbass woofer (MB Quarts) to the front door of a 2000 civic before and it was frustrating. It wasn't fun because I had to cut the medal frame of the door to make the hole bigger. Now, I decided to go with 5.25 and use its mounting brackets in my 2k2 coupe. Let me know what you guys think. Peace!!!!!!

Well a few reasons.. mainly..everyone thinks bigger is better .. also.. a 6.5" speaker will offer slightly better midbass..and also play a tad lower....I had to chop up my doorframe..and dremel the speaker rings off my doors to get my 7" components to fit.. (listed as 6.5's but are in fact oversized euro 6.75"Speakers..) I know what you mean about it being a hige hassle.. it wasn't fun..
