Wattage Question

I am running a PPI Pc1400 or 400watts at 4 ohms or 800 at 2 ohms, a 300x2 Jensen (cheap *** amp, but hey I got it for free) and I am wanting to run a 4 piece neon kit. I have an optima red top and a 1. lighting audio cap...

Do i need to upgrade to a high output alternator?

If you can tell that your lights are dimming when your system is on, I would upgrade the alternator. It is an expensive upgrade but worth it if you need it. I am planning on upgrading mine next month, so I can run all my mobile video stuff.

no lights dimming so far... but I don't want to add the neons until I can be sure.

Optima red top as your primary battery..or you have 2 batteries?.. if it's yer primary battery..that is way little power to consider a h/o Alternator

The redtop is my primary bat. So I will be ok right?

If so that is great... saving money is always good.
