need help installing dual voice coil subs to amp...mohawk help!
i finally picked up my new audio stuff today. the only problem im running into is hooking up the subs to the amp. i bought 2 12" alumapro alchemy mx's and am running them a crossfire vr600d amp. im confused since theres 2 sets of "+ and -" on each sub, which i assume means dual voice coil. im lookin at the wiring diagram for the amp and im pretty confused and i dont wanna eff anything up. someone please help me to understand how to hook this up. and if it makes a difference which i assume it does, the amp is a mono block configuration.
eaiset way to wire is to wire each individual woofer to itself, thats pos to neg , one on each coil.
that leaves one pos and one neg left on either side of teh woofer, you combine the positives of both amps and hook those to the + on the amp, then you double up the negatives, one from each woofer, and go to the negative side of the amp.
wired for 4 ohms. done.
