tempest is good, but any 15 in a b i g a s s ported box tuned LOW will do teh job.

willg et teh low frequency extension, just dont expect to hit upper bass even remotely

no, and tuning at 29 isnt low at all ;p

you can put an alpine type R in 1 cubic foot after driver and port displacement, one box ported at 50 Hz, the other ported at 20 Hz.

the 20 Hz port box will be bigger, because even tho teh woofer only sees 1 cube, the port takes up more room.

so the NET size of teh enclosure will be bigger, but that doesnt mean that tuning lower REQUIRES a bigger box. for the same volume that the sub sees, aported lower will jsut turn out to BE bigger.

Black..want low low bass.. grab an Eclipse 8715 (plastic cone) put it in 3.2cubes. with a single 2"x10" Slot port tuned to 18hz.. it's what I have in my house...it rumbles..(I'd say it slams..but I have crossed 40hz and down..so just rumbling ..
