the funny thing is how little improvement it would have, if any, over an eclipse or other mid/high end deck

Is there really no improvement when you hit Audiophile decks? Like McIntosh, Nakamich CD700s, and so on, and so on?

IMO there will be improvement but it's so little that unless you are in SQ competition it's not worth it. As you're driving the road, wind, and engine noise will drown out the detail anyways.

And Rabbit is probably right. These decks might sound about the same as other mid/high end decks out there. But if you want something with a different look then this is it. That's how they market this stuff anyways...just like an Organic EL display and motorized flip has nothing to do with sound quality but ppl pay extra to get the look of it.
